Horton Commercial Body Build are an approved converter for many of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers.
Our extensive build range covers vehicles from 3.5 tonne up to 32 tonne gross vehicle weight rigid chassis and trailers. In our modern workshop facilities, we supply bespoke body work to a diverse customer base including: Utilities, builder’s merchants, pallet work, parcel delivery, vehicle/plant recovery and specialist removal/transportation.
Having built vehicle bodies for a number of years for our sister company Abacus Vehicle Hire we decided to utilise our skills and expanded the operation in 2012 with the addition of new factory space and additional skilled staff. Moving from strength to strength we then expanded again in 2017 to a purpose built 20,000 sq. ft. new factory.
Horton Commercials body build prides itself on the quality product it produces and the wealth of knowledge and experience it can lend to customers and chassis manufacturers to make sure that the finished vehicle meets all the demands it will face on a daily basis. From initial discussions through to CAD drawings and a detailed specification, Horton Commercials body build will work side by side with all suppliers and manufacturers to make sure every detail is covered. All our conversions are manufactured in compliance with our 'national small series' Whole Vehicle Type Approval certifications.We are also pleased to say that we have achieved ISO 9001 accreditation.
Conversions
Our conversions include the following vehicle and build types:
- Panel Van: Our van linings can be utilised to turn vehicles into mobile workshops, specialist transportation and even work force welfare vehicles. Specialist equipment such as tail lifts and heating equipment can be fitted and commissioned on site.
- Light Commercials: We offer a full range of light weight but durable Luton bodies as well as tippers, dropsides, curtainsiders and car transporter beavertails.
- Heavy Commercials: These include box bodies, curtainsiders, dropsides, platform/beavertails, tippers and craned vehicles. Auxiliary equipment such as tail lifts, air conditioning and specialist safety equipment including working at height, fall arrest, reversing cameras and sensors make sure the drivers and pedestrians welfare is taken into consideration.
Paint Shop
Our dedicated paint booths are of the latest specification and can cater for the painting of the smallest panel van to the largest truck, trailer or coach.
The paint shop can mix and apply all colours and paint types adhering to manufacturers' and health and safety specifications. Our paint shops are also PPG approved.
Vehicle Graphics
We can offer vehicle graphic design and fitment to any vehicle. From a simple design to a total wrap. We only use top quality materials which means sharpness of design and colour and a good product life span.
